Kick Scooter Tricks - How to Learn Them

As popular as kick scooters are, they're not known for performing tricks.

However that doesn't mean that scoots haven't been sneaking into the Extreme Sports Scene. Granted, most people still use scooters as a means of travel, but if you were to head to a skate park, it's quite likely that you'd actually end up seeing a bunch of teenagers trying to perform the high-flying tricks skateboarders are known for. You will be impressed by how the kick scooter flies through the air! Due to its relative obscurity, you can't just approach anyone with a scoot and ask them how to perform certain tricks. They're going to leave you with a blank look.

Unless you hang out with free styling scootereers, you should just head down to the skate part and watch them.

If you do ask to approach them, you could probably end up befriending them.
But let's just assume you're a tad too shy to actually go up to them so how else can you find out how to perform these tricks? You can watch them perform tricks and listen to what they call each of these tricks, and then head over to YouTube to learn more about the tricks. The people in the videos are likely to give you tips as well. So once you've gathered knowledge on what you have to do to perform certain tricks, you can head over to the park to start practicing. As they say, practice makes perfect. But when it comes to high-flying tricks, it takes a long time to perfect them.
This is why you should always wear your padding! Believe me, you are going to fall, it is part of the learning process and when you fall it's going to hurt quite a fair bit! So wear those pads.

Anyway, getting back to the point about practicing; Practice the tricks step by step. You're not going to get it right for a while.
But the only way you're going to get it right is if you get comfortable with the whole procedure.

So just keep at it! Besides having a heap of fun, you also need to look awesome when you're leaping off ramps, but of course you can only do this after you've mastered the tricks themselves in their normal state.
Once you've done so, modify it to make it look harder by mixing in some flair (it doesn't have to be harder! it's all about what people perceive).

That way even if you're not, people will think you're amongst the coolest scooter tricksters around! Now that you know what you need to do, go forth and master those kick scooter tricks!
